Kapparis is a small seaside village in the Famagusta region of Cyprus. The main bars, shops and restaurants are found in numerous locations next to the main road that runs through the village which is called Kennedy Avenue. 

Kennedy Avenue takes its name from the former U.S President who visited the island in 1962. 

The local beaches are found within sandy coves dotted along the coastline. The beaches (Firemans Beach, Malama Beach and Agia Triada) have crystal clear, shallow azure waters and soft sand. They are family-friendly and suitable for families with small children. The beaches have a range of bars serving excellent food and nighttime entertainment. 

Along Kennedy Avenue, there is a varied range of bars and restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, Cypriot, Italian, Chinese and British. The food is generally excellent. 

There is also numerous bars and pubs which have some nightlife. For a more lively night out you can take a bus or taxi to Agia Napa which takes about 20 minutes. 

Kapparis is close to the border with Northern Cyprus. Local car hire is available and you can drive to Northern Cyprus for a day trip to visit the ancient walled city Famagusta. Alternatively, there is a range of watersports and outdoor activities available within the local vicinity.
